The 2026 Toyota Camry is now exclusively hybrid, pairing a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with Toyota's fifth-generation Hybrid System (THS 5) to deliver 225 net-combined horsepower on front-wheel drive models and 232 on all-wheel drive versions. Toyota engineers tuned the THS 5 for smoother, more natural acceleration by increasing power from the lithium-ion battery through the electric motor generator, which helps suppress engine rev spikes during takeoff. The electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT) also plays a significant role, intelligently adjusting gear ratios based on throttle input to provide a seamless and responsive drive that balances performance with fuel efficiency. For added traction and confidence, the Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system—available on all trims—utilizes an electric motor on the rear axle to provide extra horsepower while constantly monitoring road conditions. It can shift torque between the front and rear wheels as needed to boost traction and stability, especially when grip is limited, providing drivers with extra confidence regardless of the weather or road surface. 

The ninth-generation Toyota Camry brings a bold new attitude to the road, thanks to a sleek and athletic redesign crafted by CALTY's design studios in Newport Beach, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Up front, the signature hammerhead face gives the Camry a sharp, modern presence, complemented by LED headlights and daytime running lights across all trims. The LE and XLE grades lean into a more refined look, with a horizontal bar grille—black on the LE and a dark metallic gray finish on the XLE. The LE rolls on 16-inch alloy wheels, while the XLE takes it a step further with 18-inch black and machine-finished alloys, along with chrome window trim and a chrome-finished Camry badge for added polish. On the sportier side, the SE and XSE trims feature aggressive design cues, including mesh grilles, sculpted side rockers, and functional aerodynamic elements such as air ducts, canards, a rear spoiler, and diffuser. Dual-tip exhausts, gloss-black badging, and—on the XSE—a black trunk garnish further enhance the sporty vibe. Wheel options include 18-inch black-finished alloys for the SE and striking 19-inch black and smoke gray-finished alloys for the XSE. Toyota also offers a bold color palette with choices like Ocean Gem, Supersonic Red, and the new Dark Cosmos. The XSE even adds an optional two-tone look, pairing select colors with a Midnight Black Metallic roof for an extra layer of style that's sure to turn heads.

Blending the Camry's signature craftsmanship with a modern, open-concept layout and refined materials, the interior of the ninth-generation model offers a distinct personality across each trim level. Sportier grades, such as the SE and Nightshade Edition, come with SofTex-trimmed seats accented by bold white stitching. The SE offers Boulder or Black interiors, while the Nightshade Edition maintains an all-Black theme. The XSE ups the ante with leather-trimmed seats featuring unique "shooting blade" perforations, available in either Black with blue-lined detailing or a striking Cockpit Red. On the more refined side, the LE features an ocean wave-inspired woven fabric design in Boulder or Black, while the luxurious XLE introduces a first for Camry—a combination of leather and Dinamica® microfiber in Light Gray or Black, complete with a quilted pattern on the dashboard and door panels. Comfort has also been thoughtfully reengineered, featuring redesigned seat cushions for improved support, a repositioned and softer headrest, and longer seat bases for added legroom. Heated front seats are standard on the XLE and XSE and available on the LE and SE. Top trims also offer heated steering wheels and optional ventilated front seats. Both the XLE and XSE come with 8-way power-adjustable front seats for the driver and passenger, as well as front-side acoustic laminated glass for a quieter, more serene cabin. Convenience features are just as impressive, with every 2026 Camry coming standard with push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear air vents. The XLE and XSE also offer available driver's seat and mirror memory settings, as well as automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers.
